Kansbeschrijving

Yıldız Technical University (YTU) is seeking an experienced coordinator or an advanced consortium preparing a Research and Innovation Action under HORIZON-CL2-2027-01-HERITAGE-08, Safeguarding and transmission of intangible cultural heritage. The topic is a single-stage lump-sum RIA with an indicative EU contribution of EUR 3-4 million per project, a EUR 12 million topic budget and approximately three projects expected to be funded. The planned opening date is 13 May 2027 and the deadline is 23 September 2027 at 17:00 Brussels time. The call requires different case studies, knowledge-holder participation, intergenerational transmission, community ownership, appropriate digital technologies and links to European cultural-heritage infrastructures. YTU offers a developed contribution that can enter a comparative European design as a defined case-study task. YTU and the Proposed Team: Founded in 1911, YTU is a public research university in Istanbul with more than 1,600 academics and 30,000 students. It has substantial experience as coordinator and beneficiary in Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, FP7 and Erasmus+ projects. The Yıldız Technopark ecosystem hosts more than 750 technology companies. The core academic team combines Prof. Kadriye Tezcan Akmehmet's expertise in museology, art history, fine-arts education and art management with Prof. Ayrin Ersöz's expertise in performing and visual arts, cultural studies and dance. Information and records management expertise can support multilingual cataloguing, metadata, consent and responsible data governance. Case Study Offer: The YTU team has prepared a transnational case-study concept focused on living heritage, cultural memory and the transmission of community-held knowledge across generations. It can form a coherent work-plan component and contribute evidence on threats to transmission, community-led safeguarding, youth involvement, informal learning and cultural policy. To protect the intellectual contribution before consortium formation, this profile withholds the cultural setting, communities, geography, historical material, research questions, case-specific methods and outputs. A structured concept note and proposed task logic are available for confidential bilateral discussion with coordinators whose proposal architecture offers a credible fit. Proposed YTU Contribution: YTU can lead the case study or a defined task on participatory safeguarding, intergenerational transmission, museum and arts-based research, community co-creation or responsible digital heritage. It can contribute to comparative design, ethics, data governance, education, policy and cross-case indicators, and prepare its Part B tasks and budget with the proposal leadership team.
